摘要: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are persistent environmental pollutants originating from incomplete combustion of organic materials synthetic sources. PAHs, PCBs, PBDEs have all been shown to a significant effect on human health with correlations cancer other diseases. Therefore, measuring the presence these xenobiotics in environment body is imperative for assessing their risks. To date, analyses require both gas chromatography liquid separations conjunction mass spectrometry measurements detection parent molecules hydroxylated metabolites, making studies extremely time consuming. In this work, we characterized metabolites using ion mobility coupled (IMS-MS) combination different ionization methods including electrospray (ESI), atmospheric pressure chemical (APCI) photoionization (APPI). The collision cross section m/z trend lines derived IMS-MS displayed distinct trends each molecule type. Additionally, rapid isomeric molecular possible showed great promise quickly distinguishing metabolized PAH, PCB, PDBE complex biological samples.
