摘要: THE principle of Dr. D. Gabor's interesting method reconstructing images objects from photographs the interference patterns produced when object is illuminated with a coherent monochromatic wave-train fully explained in his paper1. The treatment this note essentially same, but I have ventured to present it very simplified form because found discussions that difficulty sometimes experienced forming physical picture reconstruction image, photographic plate can only record intensities light and not phases.
