摘要: Abstract The use of air bubbles varying size distribution in ore and wastewater treatment, including conventional (froth) dissolved flotation (DAF), Jameson cell Microcel (among others), has attracted much interest recently. These processes are governed by the physical characteristics as well particles, therefore it is necessary to investigate accurately that generated. A new method was developed measure bubble based on bubbles’ capture (without movement) combining microscopy with digital image processing procedures. technique (LTM-BSizer) employs a sampler draw bubbles, rising column, into special viewing chamber exposes them camera after they have decelerated stopped. Thus common problems related movement namely focus, illumination, photographic speed overlapping all overcome. Results obtained good correlation some values reported traditional analysis show using this accurate distributions can be produced conveniently efficiently. influence operational parameters formation studied. It believed measurement study will assist understanding improvement DAF fines ultrafines mineral flotation, from both theoretical practical viewpoints.
