摘要: Background/aim There is anecdotal recognition within the profession that novice occupational therapists who perform well at interview do not necessarily make best practising clinicians. Further evidence suggests it difficult to tell (at interview) which will follow path and whether further training can achieve excellence in existing staff. What makes difference? attributes those truly 'excellent' clinicians have them better than others? Method A two-round Delphi survey was utilised 18 expert were purposively recruited from Perth's three adult tertiary hospitals. Panellists rated ranked sixteen possible could comprise an acute practice therapist. Results The final order of importance (from most least) 16 determined. Communication, Self-management Critical Thinking found be important attributes, whereas Humility considered least attribute. All attribute rankings achieved a low level consensus. Conclusion We now much clearer picture what looks like setting, giving managers new understanding. possibility integrating this information into both recruitment staff professional development In way we move forward future includes active therapy ways before these results available.
