摘要: National forest inventory programs are tasked to produce timely and accurate estimates for a wide range of resource variables variety users applications. Time, cost, precision constraints cause these seek technological innovations that contribute measurement estimation efficiencies facilitate the production distribution an increasing array data, estimates, derived products. Many recent have involved remotely sensed data related statistical techniques. Current applications remote sensing in support national inventories reviewed three areas: (1) observation or measurement, meaning using lieu field observations measurements; (2) estimation, calculation traditional areal such as area volume per unit area; (3) mapping. Future focus on two augmenting measurements with obtained from lidar sensors Internet accessible map-based estimation.
