摘要: This paper examines the determinants of total factor productivity (TFP) in Malaysian automotive industry, focusing on effectiveness government policies. Our panel data analysis shows that industry Malaysia highly depends technology embodied within imports. Government policies have not contributed to technological upgrading industry. The protect domestic producers from international competition and favor bumiputra firms seem adverse impacts productivity.
