摘要: Pancreatic cancer can have a deleterious effect on patient’s nutritional status. There is high prevalence of cachexia as well malnutrition in many patients with pancreatic cancer. Exocrine insufficiency (EPI) contribute to secondary steatorrhea-related symptoms and malabsorption both lending limitations food intake, absorption, subsequently weight loss. EPI diagnosed one out two preoperatively though this markedly increases postoperatively. It unfortunately not assessed routinely or even at the time diagnosis, when treated, enzyme replacement therapy too often suboptimal. As new oncologic protocols present for cancer, it imperative that status optimized enabling endure surgery, (neo)adjuvant therapies, palliative options an effort improve outcomes quality life. Future studies are direly needed better understand course over optimal treatment
