摘要: We describe a Casimir apparatus based on differential force measurement between Au-coated sphere and planar slab divided in two regions, one of which is made high-resistivity (dielectric) Si, the other Au. The crucial feature setup semitransparent plane parallel conducting overlayer, covering both regions. offers important advantages over existing setups. On hand, it leads to large amplification difference Drude plasma prescriptions that are currently used compute thermal force. thanks screening power principle immune from electrostatic forces caused by potential patches plates surfaces, plague present distance experiments. If conductive overlayer with identical patch structure Au-Si regions plate can be manufactured, similar opaque overlayers recent searches non-Newtonian gravitational isoelectronic technique, way will paved for clear observation up separations several microns, an unambiguous discrimination prescriptions.
