A robust superconducting setup to probe the thermal Casimir effect

摘要: We describe a superconducting Casimir apparatus inspired by recently proposed setup involving magnetic surfaces [G. Bimonte, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 112}, 240401 (2014)]. The present consists of Nb sphere and flat gold plate including in its interior strip. experimental scheme involves differential measurement the force at point above strip away from it. show that similar to previous setup, system considered here implies widely different modulations force, depending on whether thermal is computed using Drude or plasma model, thus paving way an unambiguous discrimination between these alternative prescriptions.
