摘要: Wood bark is a source of extractives with potential for valorization based on their chemical functionalities. In this study, Acacia mangium was extracted distilled water. Then extract solutions in water at various concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% w/w) were vacuum impregnated into rubberwood. The color the rubberwood observed. retention weight percent gain (WPG) from it calculated. morphology, dimensional stability, resistance to fungal decay, subterranean termite determined samples. It found that higher concentration gave WPG vacuum-impregnated wood got darker extract, light brown red dark brown. penetrated all way center (in thickness direction) remained lumens vessels, parenchyma, ray cells. can improve stability Weight loss caused by fungi Trametes versicolor Gloeophyllum striatum decreased wood. may be toxic termites (Coptotermes gestroi) consumed wood: died during third fourth weeks after they attacked 15% or concentration.
