摘要: In this study, we describe the identification and in vitro functional activity of a novel multiple domain complement regulatory protein discovered based on its homology to short consensus repeat (SCR)-containing proteins regulators activation (RCA) gene family. The rat cDNA encodes predicted 388-kDa consisting 14 N-terminal CUB domains that are separated from each other by SCR followed 15 tandem domains, transmembrane domain, cytoplasmic tail. This is homolog human unknown function called sushi 1 (CSMD1) protein. A cloning strategy incorporates two C-terminal CUB-SCR 12 repeats was used produce soluble CSMD1 blocked classical pathway comparable fashion with Crry but did not block alternative activation. Analysis mRNA expression situ hybridization immunolabeling neurons indicates primary sites synthesis developing CNS epithelial tissues. Of particular significance enrichment nerve growth cone, amoeboid-leading edge growing neuron. These results suggest may be an important regulator inflammation CNS, it also play role context cone function.
