摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents the alternative pathway of complement activation. Two pathways for recruitment and its biological activities exist in plasma serum. The first is termed as “classical pathway,” which triggered by contact C1 with immune complexes containing antibodies immunoglobulin G (IgG) or M (IgM) class. Recognition followed assembly activation unit (C2, C3, C4) membrane attack (C5, C6, C7, C8, C9). second pathway, properdin activated naturally occurring polysaccharides lipopolysaccharides aggregates A (IgA). Initiation typically appears to require particulate activators. initial events seem occur on surface activating particle. also a molecular concept entire pathway. envisages single enzyme fulfill various functions being modulated sequentially different factors.
