摘要: Malignant tumors of the liver stemming from mesenchymal origins are rare neoplasms, <1% primary malignant hepatic lesions. Primary angiosarcoma (PHA) is most common (36%). This study describes incidence and clinical characteristics this tumor in two medical centers, over past 18 years. We reviewed registry files at Jackson Memorial Hospital oncology data records Cedar's Medical Center, 1979-1997. A total 865 were identified, which five cases (0.58%) PHA; four men, median age was 53 Symptoms signs included: pain, anemia, fever unknown origin, weight loss, abdominal mass, hemoperitoneum. Median survival only 6 months. In conclusion, angiosarcomas frequently symptomatic. The presentation preexisting factors valuable establishing a suspicion to diagnose tumor. Although imaging studies helpful, they not conclusive, biopsy usually required.
