摘要: The complete nucleotide sequence of the Staphylococcus epidermidis plasmid pNE131 is presented. 2,355 base pairs long and contains two major open reading frames. A comparison DNA with published sequences five aureus plasmids revealed strong regional homologies them, pE194 pSN2. region containing frame which encodes constitutive ermM gene almost identical to inducible ermC pE194, except for a 107-base-pair deletion removes mRNA leader required expression. second an homology small cryptic pSN2 potentially 162-amino-acid protein.
