摘要: We investigate the role of anthropogenic heat flux on urban island London. To do this, time-varying is added to an surface-energy balance parametrization, Met Office–Reading Urban Surface Exchange Scheme (MORUSES), implemented in a 1 km resolution version UK Office Unified Model. The derived from energy-demand data for London and specified model's grid; it includes variations diurnal seasonal time-scales. contrast spring case with winter case, illustrate effects larger different roles played by thermodynamics seasons. channels into heating surface, which warms slowly because large capacity surface. About one third this additional warming goes increasing outgoing long-wave radiation only about two thirds sensible that atmosphere. has effect screen-level temperatures partly then boundary layer shallower winter. For specific studied here, maintains well-mixed through whole night over London, whereas surrounding rural becomes strongly stably stratified. This finding likely have important implications air quality On whole, inclusion improves comparison between model simulations measurements temperature slightly indicates beginning be factor island.
