摘要: Strains resistant to the toxic analogues of sulfate, selenate and chromate have been isolated. Their genetic analysis allowed us identify four genes. One, called MET28, encodes a transcriptional factor. The three other genes, SUL1, SUL2 SUL3, encode proteins involved in sulfate transport. sequence Sul1p Sul2p indicate that they are integral membrane exhibiting, respectively, 11 10 transmembrane domains. Moreover, share high degree similarity. Sulfate transport kinetic studies made with parental mutant strains show that, as expected from results, Saccharomyces cerevisiae has two affinity systems. Sul3p shown be regulation gene.
