摘要: The Populus genus is one of the major plant model systems, but genomic resources have thus far primarily been available for poplar species, and trichocarpa (Torr. & Gray), which was first tree with a whole-genome assembly. To further advance evolutionary functional analyses in Populus, we produced genome assemblies population genetics two aspen tremula L. tremuloides Michx. species distributions spanning Northern Hemisphere, where they are keystone supporting wide variety dependent communities produce diverse array secondary metabolites. Our show that aspens share similar structure highly conserved gene content P. display substantially higher levels heterozygosity. Based on resequencing data, observed widespread positive negative selection acting both coding noncoding regions. Furthermore, patterns genetic diversity molecular evolution influenced by number features, such as expression level, coexpression network connectivity, regulatory variation. maximize community utility these resources, integrated all presented data within PopGenIE web resource (PopGenIE.org).
