摘要: The present study investigated the relationship between neurologic outcome and total circulating white blood cell (WBC) absolute neutrophil counts (ANCs) in first week of life term infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Long-term at 18 months was measured retrospectively 30 neonates HIE using Pediatric Cerebral Performance Category Scale (PCPCS) score outcomes dichotomized as either good or poor. We then compared ANC levels during 4 days magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) obtained within month two PCPCS groups. MRI quantified a validated scoring system. Neonates long-term had significantly lower scores (indicating lesser injury) than poor outcomes. More importantly, higher WBC early as12 h after birth up to 96 h those These data suggest that elevated peripheral may signal predict adverse outcome. Our findings contribute abnormal neurodevelopmental
