摘要: Abstract Dynamic properties of the plate structures can be enhanced by introducing discontinuities different kinds such as using surface-bonded discrete patches or spatially varying stiffness and mass plate. Fast reliable design complex requires efficient accurate modeling tools. In this study, a novel semi-analytical model is developed for dynamic analysis plates having and/or continuous non-uniformities. Two-dimensional Heaviside unit step functions are utilized to represent discontinuities. Different from existing numerical methods based on functions, technique proposed that not necessarily aligned with axes. The governing equations derived Hamilton's principle Rayleigh–Ritz method used determining modal variables. demonstrate non-uniformities where variable-stiffness laminates selected non-uniform structures.
