摘要: Insomnia is among the most prevalent and costly of all sleep-related disorders. To characterize neural mechanisms underlying subjective dysfunction in insomnia, we examined brain activity 17 female insomniacs healthy controls using simultaneous functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) electroencephalography (EEG) while they were resting trying to fall asleep. In examining dynamic regional within intrinsic networks, found that, compared with controls, had greater involvement anterior insula salience as well BOLD correlation EEG gamma frequency power during rest insomniacs. This increased was associated negative affect Aberrant activation insula, which integrates temporal bodily states, arousal networks may underlie misperception sleep quality distress insomnia.
