摘要: Peptidylarginine deiminases (PAD) are a group of post-translational modification enzymes that citrullinate (deiminate) protein arginine residues in calcium ion-dependent manner. Enzymatic citrullination abolishes positive charges native molecules, inevitably causing significant alterations their structure and functions. Citrullinated has an important physiological purpose; the formation cornified layer skin covers human body. Despite this beneficial function, citrullinated also negative side, because protein's accumulation brain is possible cause Alzheimer's disease. In present review, we introduce PAD now considered critical for advancing research on aging
