摘要: Azadirachta indica, commonly known as neem, is an evergreen tree of the tropics and sub-tropics native to Indian subcontinent with demonstrated ethnomedicinal value importance in agriculture well pharmaceutical industry. This ancient medicinal tree, often called “wonder tree”, regarded a chemical factory diverse complex compounds plethora structural scaffolds that very difficult mimic by synthesis. Such multifaceted diversity leads fantastic repertoire functional traits, encompassing wide variety biological activity unique modes action against specific generalist pathogens pests. Until now, more than 400 have been isolated from different parts neem including important bioactive secondary metabolites such azadirachtin, nimbidin, nimbin, nimbolide, gedunin, many more. In addition its insecticidal property, plant also for antimicrobial, antimalarial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, hypoglycaemic, antiulcer, antifertility, anticarcinogenic, hepatoprotective, antioxidant, anxiolytic, molluscicidal, acaricidal, antifilarial properties. Notwithstanding virtuosity it has extensively explored for associated microorganisms, especially class mutualists endophytic microorganisms (or endophytes). More 30 compounds, “mimetic” reported endophytes harbored trees ecological niches. this review, we provide informative in-depth overview topic can serve point reference understanding functions applications endophytes, within overall theme phytopathology. Our review further exemplifies already-noted current surge interest and microbial natural products implications both clinical settings, secure sustainable future.
