摘要: The underground nest and associated burrows of male-female pairs communal, social groups Microtus ochrogaster were compared using excavated foam-injected casts burrows. Differences in burrow morphology related primarily to the type group inhabiting not seasonal differences. There was no relationship between number reproductive females a chambers system. Burrows where communal nested had greater complexity than pairs; 49% larger, area 2.7 times with twice as many entrance holes.
