摘要: Abstract The using of wastes in the design new binders for construction is key success developments regarding environmental, technical, and economic issues. Biomass ashes usually contain reactive compounds creating binding matrices by means alkali activation blending with hydrated lime. These are available many countries, especially developing their could be a feasible option communities few resources. Additionally, these biomass waste-derived reduction CO2 emissions from preparation binder achieved. In this chapter, different uses described. Many examples have been reported, most them involving use rice husk ash (RHA), sugarcane bagasse (SCBA), palm oil fuel (POFA), wood (WA). general, alkali-activated systems, reported results involve mixtures other mineral admixtures (blast furnace slag (BFS), metakaolin, fly ash). Interestingly, RHA as component activating solution shows excellent potential replacing sodium silicate solution, which mitigates environmental issues associated chemical reagent. Hydrated lime-based containing were described studied years ago; however, recent has become an active field terms applications mixtures, because availability interest low-CO2 binders.
