摘要: Abstract Background Pharmacists' role in addressing the opioid crisis continues to expand, but lack of training specifically related standardized prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) use and communication strategies for provider patient interactions remains a significant issue. We developed Resources Encouraging Safe Prescription Opioid Naloxone Dispensing (RESPOND) Toolkit enhance community pharmacists’ understanding their safety; improve integration PDMP into daily workflow; between pharmacists, prescribers, patients. Objective To describe development RESPOND summarize findings from initial pilot testing. Methods was informed by focus groups with patients, pharmacists an external advisory committee. Materials include screening & algorithm, checklist online continuing education course three distinct modules. The tested six pharmacies Oregon across two 6-month intervention phases. Pilot data collection included pre-post survey, knowledge assessment quizzes within course, post-intervention semi-structured interviews. Interview feedback revisions after each phase shape final content, flow, delivery RESPOND.
