摘要: The pulsatile secretion patterns of GH were investigated in seven beagle bitches by collecting blood samples every 10 min for 6 h during euthyroidism and 1.5 years after induction primary hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism was induced surgical removal the thyroid gland subsequent destruction any remnant tissue oral administration sodium [(131)I]iodide. Some physical changes observed dogs with hypothyroidism mimicked those acromegaly. During both secreted a fashion. mean (+/-s.e.m. ) basal plasma concentration significantly higher (P=0.003) hypothyroid state (4.1+/-1.6 microg/l) than euthyroid (1.2+/-0.4 microg/l). Likewise, area under curve (AUC) above zero-level (27.0+/-10.0 microg/lx6 h) (P=0.004) that (11.7+/-2.0 microg/l x h). AUC baseline lower (P=0.008) (2.4+/-0.8 (4.5+/-1.8 h), whereas there no significant difference pulse frequency. IGF-I level (P<0.01) (169+/-45 (97+/-15 results this study demonstrate is associated elevated less pulses. This has endocrine significance as illustrated levels some mimicking It discussed increased release may be result absence response element hormone within canine pituitary gene alterations supra-pituitary regulation.
