POSSIBLE ROLE OF GH/IGF-1 IN THE OVARIAN FUNCTION OF ADULT HYPOTHYROID RATS

摘要: We have monitored estrous cycle and measured serum estradiol, GH, IGF-1, T4 T3 levels in adult hypothyroid female rats which were divided into four groups: H group, without treatment; H-T4 injected daily with T4; HT4-PTU plus PTU (propylthiouracil), H-T4-IOP IOP (iopanoic acid); Euthyroid (E group) used as control. Our results indicate that the lack of sexual animals was associated lower values GH IGF-1 comparison to E group; restoration group higher than those whereas H-T4-PTU H-T-IOP groups estradiol similar group. These data could suggest a potential role GH/IGF-1 axis, at least part, ovulation induction H-T4, groups.
