摘要: [1] The magnetopause is the thin boundary between solar wind and Earth's magnetic field. The moves earthward as total pressure just inside reduced or outside enhanced. It has been suggested for more than four decades that field-aligned currents, created by reconnection southward interplanetary field, reduce magnetopause. Under assumption of a constant magnetopause, consequently earthward. Here we show insufficient to account its motion real location. For this happen, an enhancement in required. Our observations also reveal enhanced thermal major contributor enhancement.
