摘要: Objectives The aim of this study was to examine the endometrial thickness (ET) in an asymptomatic postmenopausal population, and assess long-term variability. Design A total 1182 generally healthy women were enrolled into cross-sectional evaluation ET. Measurements performed by transvaginal ultrasound. A subset (n = 178) examined twice 3 months 2 years apart variability. Results Cross-sectionally, ET varied with length menopause. During first 5 after menopause (YSM) mean 2.3 mm but it decreased 0.03 mm/year (P < 0.01). From 13 YSM remained stable at a 1.8 no significant changes 0.13). Thereafter there minimal increase 0.01 0.05). In order minimize influence natural on ET, only who had reached more than earlier entered subsequent study. The 2.0 ± 1.0 differences within or between observers' measurements. precision errors less 1 mm. Conclusions The normal range endometrium varies YSM.
