摘要: The indigenous farmers of the Sierra Ecuador have not always been a “marginal” group. Prior to Inca and Spanish conquests, they had access best land controlled key cultural institutions. They used sophisticated systems raised-field canal irrigation agriculture support populations locally more dense than those in existence today.
