摘要: Abstract We have previously shown that neurofilaments in enteric neurons are immunologically distinct from those found the central nervous system. In particular, one monoclonal antibody to medium molecular weight neurofilament subunit, called NN18, stained perikarya of very weakly, if at all, although other subunit antibodies clearly showed presence significant amounts subunit. since located epitope for NN18 a peptide sequence car☐y terminal tail and now looked further stain same region. two antibodies, RMO1 RMO59, recognize peptide. These also show much reduced staining myenteric compared system, suggesting this region is specifically modified certain cells. developing we all strong neonatal rat, but with RMO1, intensity decreases during development, by postnatal day 21 three demonstrate decreased or absent identical adult. results indicate neurons, contrast brain, developmentally regulated modification specific which may reflect adaptation structural stress neurons.
