摘要: Artist‐in‐residence programs frequently act as professional development initiatives for teachers. Little understanding of the relational nature artist‐teacher learning exists. In this article, we discuss Learning Through The Arts ™, describing conflicting expectations artists and teachers learn from each other, explore relationship artists’ growth to teacher development. Using participants’ narratives, illustrate existing tensions challenges visual art education. We present need open spaces construct new understandings themselves in relation artists, develop artist selves alongside their selves.
