摘要: Mesothelial/monocytic incidental cardiac excrescence (MICE) is a recently described, peculiar microscopic finding in the endocardium or pericardium. These lesions are characterized by mixture of mesothelial cell clusters and histiocytes, aggregated fibrin. They have been interpreted as reactive even artifactual, importance distinguishing these aggregations from metastatic carcinoma has emphasized. We report unique case MICE that was seeded adenocarcinoma cells. The patient 38-year-old woman with no history previous instrumentation who found to an right lung involving hilus but apparently not invading At surgery, small fragment tissue floating pericardial cavity, examination revealed cluster cells fibrin (components usual, benign MICE) which rare pleomorphic were scattered. Unlike surrounding stained for carcinoembryonic antigen, epithelial membrane BerEP4 focally produced intracellular mucin, confirming their malignant glandular nature. It possible cells, formed response invasion space adenocarcinoma. This indicates all characteristic architecture can be dismissed non-neoplastic without careful evaluation both cellular constituents clinical circumstances.
