摘要: Abstract Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) includes a wide range of practices products that are generally outside the use conventional as practiced in Western cultures. Use CAM persons with epilepsy is high, even compared to individuals other chronic health conditions. In this study, we surveyed caregivers children admitted regional monitoring unit (EMU) southeast United States assess among patients (N = 225). Thirteen percent respondents indicated current by their child, 16% reported past use, 43% interest future most commonly marijuana potential treatment (23%). Over 25% expressed related side effects anti-epileptic medications. Regarding prayer form CAM, large majority sample identified Christian actively prayed for child's illness, revealing high prevalence spiritual population. Eighty-one they had not discussed doctor.
