摘要: Vitamin D derivatives and calcimimetics are used to treat secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic renal failure. We investigated the effect of calcitriol, paricalcitol, calcimimetic AMG 641 on soft-tissue calcification uremic rats hyperparathyroidism. Control were treated vehicle, 641, or a combination plus calcitriol paricalcitol. Parathyroid hormone levels reduced by all treatments but better controlled paricalcitol 641. The alone did not induce extraosseous co-administration aortic mineralization both calcitriol- paricalcitol-treated rats. Survival was significantly this mortality attenuated co-treatment Our study shows that extraskeletal present animals When provided excellent control prevented associated use vitamin without causing tissue calcification.
