摘要: Abstract The pre-laying behaviour of two strains domestic fowl in battery cages were observed. One strain (The ‘Brown’ strain) sat for significantly longer than the White strain, which showed an excessive amount pacing during period. Enclosing and darkening room had no effect on these differences. Both responded to frustration a feeding situation by it therefore appears that ‘White’ females generally frustrated Some did sit this variability if genetic suggests selection sitting period might be successful. It is suggested difference between due differences responsiveness releasers not strength nesting tendency.
