摘要: Abstract This work experimentally investigated the heat transfer of a rotating porous cylinder under circular impinging jet at confined/unconfined conditions. The 0.93-porosity and 0.90-porosity aluminum foams were used. dimensions Al-foam 40 mm in diameter (D) 20 mm height (H) excepting 4 mm-thickness spreader. Air was employed as coolant. (d) nozzle 20 mm. Relevant parameters included rotational Reynolds number (Rer = 788–3163), (Rej = 3325–16,690) relative (C/d = 0.05–9). results indicated that, for pure condition, average Nusselt (Nur) unconfined system higher than that confined C/d = 0.05, but there few differences between these both systems other values C/d. For jet-flow on contrary, (Nuj) smaller while also Nuj C/d = 1–9. Besides, Nur generally increased from C/d = 0.05 to C/d = 1, changed little However, declined with increasing C/d, especially Rej. combined condition rotation flow, had (Nur,j) one bigger Rer. When C/d increased, difference Nur,j would decline. effect more substantial Finally, according all experimental data, this proposed empirical relationships various
