On the subsequent yielding of an aluminum alloy following cyclic prestraining

摘要: Thin-walled tubular samples of 6061 aluminum alloy are cycled in the axial direction between reversed stress limits until a steady-state condition is achieved. Following cyclic loading, subjected to internal pressure determine subsequent hoop tensile yield strength. A small-offset definition employed relate onset plastic flow dislocation processes. Samples -T651 and -0 tempers studied, and, it found that strength determined this way may be greater than, less or nearly equal initial depending on interaction three factors: i) relationship Bauschinger effect cross under plane, biaxial ii) state material (i.e., degree anisotropy), iii) final after loading structure deformation history).
