摘要: Abstract A novel and highly effective treatment based on modified Hummers method was firstly used to improve the electrochemical activity of graphite felt as positive electrode in all-vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB). The treated by characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy scanning electron microscopy. performance prepared evaluated through cyclic voltammetry impedance spectroscopy. Results show that exhibits excellent electrocatalytic reaction rate vanadium couples. In our research, hydrogen H 2 replaced V 2+ /V 3+ couple negative side VRFB test. coulombic, voltage, energy efficiencies with as-prepared electrodes at 50 mA cm −2 are 95.0%, 81.3%, 77.2%, respectively. These values much higher than those cell-assembled were conventionally thermally treated. carries more hydrophilic groups, such as–OH, its defects, which is advantageous facilitating ions, thereby improving operation efficiency battery.
