摘要: In 9 patients with progressive supranuclear palsy and in 27 controls, dopamine homovanillic acid concentrations, choline acetyltransferase (CAT) activity, the number of [3H]spiperone [3H]quinuclidinyl benzilate binding sites were measured post mortem striatum (caudate nucleus, putamen, nucleus accumbens), substantia innominata, frontal cortex. Dopamine concentrations reduced caudate putamen but not accumbens or cortex, indicating that nigrostriatal dopaminergic system is lesioned (as those Parkinson's disease) mesocortical mesolimbic systems, which are parkinsonian patients. CAT activity decreased parallel fashion all structures. striatum, this suggests cholinergic neurons, target cells system, also degenerate disease. This might explain decrease receptors as well inefficacy levodopa anticholinergic therapy these The innominata cortex indicates innominatocortical may play a role intellectual deterioration observed. lesion found demented Alzheimer's diseases.
