摘要: In this article we provide an overview of rate-distortion (R-D) based optimization techniques and their practical application to image video coding. We begin with a short discussion classical theory then show how in many coding scenarios, such as standards-compliant environments, resource allocation can be put R-D framework. introduce two popular for allocation, namely, Lagrangian dynamic programming. After these well some extensions, conclude quick review literature areas citing number applications related compression transmission.
