摘要: The paper presents an applied methodology for numerical finite element analysis of coronary stent crimping and the free inflation process with use a folded noncompliant angioplasty balloon. implicit scheme is considered as most original part work, explicit procedure very often preferred. Hitherto, when solution was used solution, simulated issue largely simplified. Therefore, authors focused on modelling minimum possible simplification, ie, full load path (compression in single analysis), solid discretization, sophisticated contact models (bodies highly different stiffness). obtained results are partially compared experimental data (radial force during procedure) present satisfactory compliance. believe that presented allow significant improvement results, well potential extension research scope, to previous efforts performed using integration scheme. Moreover, believed be suitable sensitivity optimization studies.
