摘要: BACKGROUND Evidence of diastolic dysfunction (DD) required for the diagnosis heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is elusive in atrial fibrillation (AF). Left ventricular (LV) and left (LA) speckle-tracking echocardiography (STE) may provide rhythm independent indications DD. We aimed to find common LV/LA myocardial mechanics parameters demonstrate DD, using STE patients AF. METHODS 176 echocardiographic assessments were studied retrospectively by STE. 109 history AF divided three groups: sinus normal function (n = 32, ND), DD (n = 35, DD) during (n = 42). These compared 67 controls. Demographic, clinical, mechanic characteristics obtained. RESULTS The similar age, mostly women, had cardiovascular risk factors as well higher dyspnea prevalence either controls or ND. In group, LV (LVEF) (p = 0.008), global longitudinal strain LA emptying lower (p < 0.001), whereas volumes larger (p < 0.001) other groups. a multivariable analysis rhythm, minimal volume indexed body surface area (Vmin-I) was found be single significant factor associated (AUC 83%). all study patients, Vmin-I correlated 80%) pulmonary hypertension 90%).
