摘要: Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and human kallikrein 2 are closely related products of the genes KLK3 KLK2, respectively. Both PSA produced secreted in prostate have important applications diagnosis cancer. We report here identification unusual mRNA splice variants KLK2 that result from inclusion intronic sequences adjacent to first exon. The novel proteins encoded by these transcripts, named PSA-linked molecule (PSA-LM) hK2-linked (K-LM), share only signal peptide with original protein product respective gene. mature entirely different bear no similarity family or other databases. As is case PSA, PSA-LM expressed secretory epithelial cells up-regulated response androgenic stimulation. A similar pattern expression suggested for K-LM.
