摘要: Abstract This study was carried out to determine ovine pregnancy-associated glycoprotein (oPAG) and progesterone (P4) levels in the serum of Churra Merino ewes throughout gestation first month post partum. The oPAG were determined with an heterologus RIA using bovine PAG as standard tracer rabbit antiserum against oPAG, sensitivity 4.0 ng/ml. P4 measured a radioimmunological procedure, including specific extraction step petroleum ether (bp 60–80°C) less than 0.1 There no differences (P 0.05) observed for mean weekly between 2 breeds. In both breeds, increased whole length gestation, highest level at Weeks 19–20, then declined wk before parturition. No correlation found concentrations during either After lambing, decreased rapidly 4 basal values. breeds 19, 20 21 carrying male fetuses higher those female fetuses. From results, we conclude that breed sex fetus could influence production oPAG.
