摘要: Objective: The present study was undertaken to investigate the cardioprotective effect of ethanolic extract Garcinia indica linn fruit. Methods: were studied for their on isoprenaline hydrochloride (25mg/kg. b.w.) induced cardio toxicity wistar albino rats. degree protection measured by assessing biochemical parameters such as AST, ALT, LDH, CPK, CK-MB in serum and heart tissue homogenate membrane bound ATPase (Na+K+ ATPase, Mg2+ Ca2+ ATPase) homogenate. Results: at a dose 250mg/kg b.w., 500mg/kg b.w. produced significant (p<0.005) protective activities group III IV rats when compared (group II). Conclusion: Finally we concluded that fruit exerts equipotent activity experimental model myocardial necrosis
