摘要: Chemotaxis in Escherichia coli is one of the most thoroughly studied model systems for signal transduction. Receptor-kinase complexes, organized clusters at cell poles, sense chemoeffector stimuli and transmit signals to flagellar motors by phosphorylation a diffusible response regulator protein. Despite apparent simplicity transduction pathway, high sensitivity, wide dynamic range integration multiple this pathway remain unexplained. Recent advances computer modeling quantitative experimental analysis suggest that cooperative protein interactions receptor play crucial role processing during bacterial chemotaxis.
