摘要: To evaluate the effects of air warming and humidification, we examined spirometric responses before after exposure to a conditioned airsteam. Seven healthy subjects, seven clinically stable patients with chronic bronchitis asthmatic were studied during quiet breathing. All exposed following conditions for ten minutes: -20 degrees C, dry; 37 fully saturated; 50 dry, saturated. As heat increased, airflow progressively improved in persons as group. In contrast, bronchitis, who had more severe underlying obstruction, most warm dry inhalation showed less improvement humidity was added isothermally. We conclude that active can improve significantly some reactive obstructed airways, high may exert an independent adverse effect or those serious obstruction.
