摘要: In the first year of life, ability to search for hidden objects is an indicator object permanence and, when multiple locations are involved, executive function (i.e. inhibition, cognitive flexibility and working memory). The current study was designed examine attentional predictors in 5-month-old infants (as measured by looking A-not-B task), whether levels maternal education moderated effect predictors. Specifically, a separate task, were shown unique puppet, we percentage time attending as well length longest look (i.e., peak fixation) directed towards puppet. Across entire sample (N =390), puppet positively related performance on visual task. However, whose mothers had not completed college, having shorter (after controlling time) also predictor performance. role attention, fixation discussed.
