摘要: Objective to evaluate volumetric changes of soft tissues at pontic sites in patients treated with or without tissue grafting over an observation period 10 years. Materials and methods A total 17 receiving a tooth-borne fixed dental prosthesis (FDP) were enrolled this study. Nine received subepithelial connective graft the site (test). Eight continued (control). Baseline impressions taken after delivery final FDP years. Casts scanned digital images superimposed for linear measurements: mean distance (MD) between surfaces mid-buccal area, height (PH) ridge width (RW). All comparisons performed applying Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test. Results The median follow-up time was 123 months. Median MD baseline years -0.64 mm (Min: -2.39; Max: -0.02) (test) -0.22 -1.07; 0.06) The change PH (recession) -0.33 -0.82; -0.17 -0.8; 0.23) differences 1 below crest -0.62 -1.17; 0.22) –0.2 -1.9; 0.28) None groups significant (p>0.05).
